Business News: Johnny Depp has been steadily lining up new projects since his bitter defamation case against his ex-wife Amber Heard. He is going to play King Louis XV in Jeanne Du Barry, and he is also talking with guitarist Jeff Beck about making music together. As the star's career starts to pick up again, some of his fans on social media have asked him if he'd be interested in playing Jack Sparrow in another pirate of the Caribbean movie. During the trial, Depp said that he doesn't want to do a sixth instalment, but a report this week said that he had agreed to do one after getting a huge paycheck. After those rumours spread, a representative for the star gave a very direct answer.

It was said that Johnny Depp had agreed to play the role of Jack Sparrow, the crazy pirate, and that he would be paid $301 million to do so. The outlet's sources said that Walt Disney Pictures wanted to keep working with the Oscar nominee after the defamation case was over. But Depp's representative has now put an end to those rumours with four words:

Johnny Depp keeps being busy.

The actor who plays Jack Sparrow has said he doesn't want to play a pirate, and franchise producer Jerry Bruckheimer has said that the actor isn't being thought of right now and that the series' future is still up in the air. The famous director also confirmed that Disney is currently in possession of two separate screenplays for Pirates. One of these scripts is said to have a character that Margot Robbie will play, and the rest of the cast is said to be mostly women.

In the meantime, Depp has recently been seen having a great time on stage with English rock guitarist Jeff Beck. He is also getting ready to play King Louie XV in Jeanne du Barry, which will be his first movie in a long time, and is planning a tour with his band the Hollywood Vampires for the summer of 2023. Depp said, "Yes, Mr Rottenborn, that's true."

Since there was a lot of false information about the trial as it was going on, it's not surprising that there are rumours about what will happen to Depp's career. Now, Depp has a large group of whimpering fans who want him to get "justice," which seems to mean going back to the role that made him famous.

But with everything going on in the world right now, bringing Captain Jack Sparrow back to the big screen isn't exactly a top priority. A representative for Depp told NBC News, in response to the rumour, "This is made up."
