Nick Nemeroff, a Canadian comedian who was 32 years old when he died, was loved by many. His family said he died "suddenly" on Monday evening local time as they remembered the "comic's comic." We don't yet know what killed the comedian.

Stand-up Nemeroff's 2020 album, The Pursuit of Comedy Has Ruined My Life, was nominated for a Juno Award for Comedy Album of the Year. Nemeroff, who was from Montreal, Quebec, had been on Conan, a talk show hosted by Conan O'Brien. He had also been on the Just for Laughs comedy festival in Montreal and the Winnipeg Comedy Festival.

He was also in two episodes of the second season of the comedy TV show Roast Battle Canada. In each episode, two comedians roast each other on stage, and Russell Peters, Sabrina Jalees, and K. Trevor Wilson decide who wins.
